Most common home improvement projects
A recent survey has cited kitchen remodelling as one of the most common home improvement projects that is almost certain to add value to your home. Modern living is slowly making the kitchen the central hub of many homes, with many people opting for larger kitchen/diners and removing the need for a seperate dining area.
The key things to consider before starting on any kitchen redesign project revolve around making best use of the available floor space. Of the course the kitchen still has to serve it's purpose as a food preparation area, but well-sited appliances and adequate storage are also important.
The most common reasons given for deciding on a kitchen improvement project were, improvement of materials, better appliances, creating space to allow people to eat in the kitchen or providing more space so that the existing kitchen can accomodate more people than previously.

Options for home improvement projects
It may seem obvious but many people are still confused when it comes to choosing a home improvement project that will add value to their home and improve their living space.
Often people are driven by their heart and go straight for a hot tub or jaccuzzi, when they would be better advised to make any necessary repairs to their homes first before starting on luxury items. Further up the list than luxury choices should be bathrooms, kitchens, loft extensions, gardens, garages, en-suite bathrooms and even conservatories.
Although the age of the conservatory is almost past with many people now understanding that a conservatory is not only expensive, but can add little to the value of a home.
